HEYYY EVERYBODY!

Madi here! I have missed you guys so, so much.

Today marks eight years since I first posted on Delightful World of Dolls. And it has been the most amazing journey.

Me and Cécile, February 2013, from this post

This blog has been a huge part of my life. I look back at my childhood—I started DWOD when I was nine—and I see the happy memories of having the time of my life blogging with my dolls.

This blog added to the best times of my life and was a light through the worst.

Taking photos. Writing stories. Making up crafts. Filming videos. Shooting stopmotions. Hosting events like giveaways and card exchanges.

Meeting all of you amazing, wonderful people, who have come to be some of my best friends.

I remember in summer 2012 when I made photostories with Molly—my first and only doll at the time—before I had the blog. I made tons of amazing memories spending long summer days playing with and taking photos of her.

Making those unofficial photostories was what started it all. I wanted some place to share her adventures online, so I asked my dad for a Google Picasa account (a place Google had for sharing photos) like a doll blogger I loved had.

Instead of letting me have a Google Picasa account, God spoke to my dad and said, “Let her have a blog.”

Eight years ago. That’s how it all started. ?

As most of you know, in June 2018, I came down with debilitating health issues and had to take a break from blogging to take care of them.

But I’ll be back…

Sooner than you think. ?

In the meantime…
