I am in the Christmas Crafting mood this weekend! Today I made some candy-canes for my dolls. I took some photo’s of me doing it in case you’d like to try, too. I also have been working on a Christmas stop-motion (surprise!)! I finished scene nine today. :D So, are you ready to make those candy canes?

IMG_3604All you need is some white play-doh or clay and some red play-doh/clay!

IMG_3605Roll a chunk of your white playdoh into a ball.

IMG_3606Roll out out into a snake.

IMG_3607A white snake, at that!

IMG_3608Repeat with your red. Your white playdoh and red playdoh snakes should be the same length. If not, you can trim it.

IMG_3609Now, start twisting! (be careful, though, some-times play-doh can pull away.)

IMG_3610Continue twisting until you reach the end, and then trim off any excess play-doh.

IMG_3612Mold into a candy-cane shape.

IMG_3613Ta-da! You have your very own doll candy-cane!

IMG_3615I made some mini ones for my mini dolls, too.

IMG_3616But what is this? I seem to have made one more…Hmm? Could it be we’re having a new mini doll? *SUSPENSE! ;) *

Well, I hope you enjoyed watching me make doll candy-canes. I’d love to know if you tried it yourself! These, of course, take about two days to dry completely (but only one day for the mini-doll-sized ones.). If you want some instant ones, check out another post by one of our friends, Liz, from American Girl Fan! Click here to make some instant candy-canes for your dolls.

Merry Christmas!
