Hello, dollies and their mommies! ;) HAPPY EASTER! Celebrating Jesus has risen, going on Easter egg hunts and eating (yum!) candy…what could be better?! ;)

Jesus is ALIVE! And that’s what Easter is ALL ABOUT! Easter egg hunts are fun, yes, but the true meaning of Easter is that this is the day Jesus rose from the dead– three days after his crucifixion– just like He said He would. Isn’t that the greatest phenomenon that has ever crossed the horizon of this world?!?!!!

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:5-6 NIV

But it’s also nice to have a traditional Easter egg hunt, isn’t it? So let the fun begin! :)

First of all, COCO’S BACK! We forgot to bring her back with us on our last sleepover. Thankfully, the day after that sleepover is TODAY, so our BFF’s brought Coco with them to church. Welcome home, Coconut! We missed you. :)
Now, onto the Easter egg hunt….

 Mommy hiding eggs!

Sneaky mommy giggling, thinking about how much fun we will have finding all the Easter eggs!

La la la….

I can spot some already! Can you?
Mom told us there was a special egg, with something special inside. She gave us a hint…it may not be candy inside! :O

Mommy, can you get these eggs for me? I’m too short. Madison(mom): Alright. *gives Molly Easter eggs* What do you say?
Me: Thank you!

Cecile is thinking about where some Easter eggs might be.

She looks up. Oh, here are some!

Josefina…She might be thinking, “Since Molly and Cecile both found some Easter eggs up high, I wonder if mommy hid any down low?”

Sure enough, Josefina walks around, looks down and sees two Easter eggs by the other fort!

Yay for Josie!

Up high is the way to go, if you ask me! I only took the yellow egg, the color pink isn’t my thing. :)

Cece, however, is HUGE on the color pink! Pink eggs, pink Easter basket(bag)….she’s a pink kind of girl! ;)

Josie found a pretty blue one with brown spots.

She also found an orange one! Orange is a pretty color.
But, never mind colors now! We are having to really search for these eggs, now! Mom hid them GOOD!

But none of us could find the special egg. Where could it be? We decided to give up. Cece and Josie wanted to stay outside to eat their eggs, but I wanted to go inside to share my candy with Molly-Anne.

As I was walking, a small, bright light shimmered near the ground. “What in the world?” I wondered, searching for the light again.

Sure enough, it sparkled again. I blinked rapidly. That was GOLD light! Could it be….a….a… GOLD egg?!

I brushed away some grass and weeds hiding the rest of it.

I held my prized possession up to the light, where it sparkled and shone brightly. THIS was the special egg!

“Cecile! Josefina! I found the special egg! And it’s gold! A gold egg…can you believe it? I can’t wait to see what’s inside.”

We hurried inside to seek our candy that was nicely inside our eggs. I just couldn’t stand having to wait to see what was in that gold egg! “Patience, Molly,” mom sweetly reminded me as we waited for Josefina and Cecile to get settled.

As soon as they sat down, I ripped open my bag and tore through my Easter eggs, snatching the gold one and holding it to my face. “My precious!” I whispered. Cecile gave me a strange look, kind of annoyed. I could tell she was thinking, “it’s just an egg, Molly.” But I didn’t pay any attention. It was my special find!

I opened it up. Could it be?

Inside the egg was money! I wasn’t good at mental math so I asked mom to count my money for me. “There’s 39(thirty-nine) cents in there, sweetie. What are you going to buy with such a small amount of money?”
I answered, “Maybe buy some candy for Molly-Anne. She didn’t get any!”
“Aww, you have such a sweet heart, Molly. But I don’t want you to spend your money so soon! I’ll make sure Molly-Anne has some candy. You enjoy it.”

Mmm, mmm! I couldn’t wait to dig in.

Cecile got a Musketeers candy, a Jolly Rancher, another Musketeer and some chocolate covered nuts.

YUM! Josie received a Jolly Rancher, some LemonHeads (they were the chewy kind. They don’t taste at all like the kind Madison’s dad had when he was a boy!) a Twix bar, a Musketeer and a KitKat. Scrumptious!

I got some Lemon heads and two Musketeers. I didn’t get much because I got the golden egg. :(

But mom was so sweet she gave me some of her jelly beans! Thank you mom! CANDY CANDY CANDY!!!
Madison(mom): You can only have two pieces of candy right now, girls. If they’re small like LemonHeads or jelly beans, you can have 3 and that would count as one.
“Aww, man!” I said. “Why only two(2)?”
“Because you has small stomachs, girls! These candies were meant for humans. I don’t want you to get a stomachache, OK? I’ll save the rest for tomorrow after lunch.”
Everyone agreed after Mom’s last words.

Mom, just like she promised, had a surprise planned for Molly-Anne, too! Molly-Anne hid in the attic while they were hiding her Easter eggs. (they are actually some jelly beans and LemonHeads.)

Molly-Anne: Hi everyone! Remember me? If you don’t, I’m Mini-Molly. But I like Molly-Anne better! Grandma (Madison, the 18 inch AG doll’s mom) hid some Easter eggs for ME! I’m surprised they have some in my size. She says I can eat them whole. Huh? I guess I’ll find out when I find them…..I see some already!

Yummy! I found all the Easter eggs. They’re actually human JellyBeans and LemonHeads. Who would have thought? I can only have one today….one egg is about the size of my stomach!

Coconut got a little bone, too! Happy Easter, everyone!
Jesus Christ has risen from the dead! Hallelujah!
What did you do for Easter today? Are you excited about the candy you got, or thinking about the fun time you had celebrating Easter–that Jesus rose from the dead?! Tell us all about it! We love to have comments.
~Love,
Molly, Madison, Molly-Anne, Josefina, Cecile and Coconut! The whole gang! :)
