Hello, fabulous person! Since many new people have followed (y’all rock! ❤️), I though it would be cool to do posts kind of like series you see called “Throwback Thursday” (but mine won’t have a set schedule). That way, even newcomers can see some of my very favorites from way-back-when!
Welcome to the first Blast from the Past™ post – I’ll be re-posting Magical Moments with the Dolls. :D
If you’ve already read that post, no problem – there’s something for everybody to participate in at the end!
And now, without further ado…

Have you ever been playing with your doll or dolls, for nearly hours on end, by yourself or with a friend, and got completely caught up in a magical moment? Where time seems to stop, and all that you notice is the incredible storyline you’re acting out and the amazingly memorable fun time you’re having? Well, I, Jasmine Anna Copeland, can tell you all about it!
I had just finished changing out of my holiday outfit. Not that I didn’t like it, but the festivities were all over, and I was ready for a different hairstyle anyways.
I had just finished fixing my hair into a smart ponytail with a flower headband when I saw Molly, still in her Christmas dress, playing with her doll.
Then I turned to ask, “Hey Molly! Whatcha up to?”
“Nothing much, just playing with Molly-Anne.”
“Can I join you? I haven’t played with Jocelyn in a while!”
“Absolutely,” Molly grinned, nodding her head. “I’d love that!”
“Okay, thanks! Be right back,” I told her, scampering off to find my doll Jocelyn.
I returned after a minute with Jocci in my arms. “Ready?” I asked Molly.
“Ready,” She smiled, and that began a magical, lost-in-time moment.
“I’m ready for an adventure, Molly-Anne,” Jocelyn said to her friend. “Would you care to join me?”
“Don’t mind if I do,” Molly-Anne responded, and the two set off.
Molly-Anne conquered her fear of riding Coconut!
Then Jocelyn hopped on and they rode together.
“Let’s ride, Coconut!” Molly-Anne cried as Coconut broke into a run.
The adventures kept coming and coming, and Molly and I kept playing and playing. Molly-Anne fell off and hurt herself.
How we ranged from recovering from a fall to hacking into the government’s computers and taking over the world as evil mini dolls, I don’t know, but it was great, malicious fun indeed!
That’s not the end of the mini dolls being naughty! It was the Wild West time, and Jocelyn just got busted for robbing a bank! Coconut, the sherriff, caught her red-handed!
But her evil buddy Molly-Anne decided it was time for a jail break and busted her out of there!
“HI-YA! Karate kick to the nose!” Molly-Anne cried.
“Thank you for saving me,” Jocelyn teared up.
“No time to get all soft on me! We better run for it!”
From there, the game playing shifted to a more peaceful time, where Molly-Anne and Jocelyn are two sisters who are taking horseback – er, puppy and polarbearback – riding lessons.
“Isn’t riding so fun?” Jocci asked.
“Indeed it is!” her friend answered.
Awww, look how sweet Molly-anne and Snowy are together! Her and Coconut might not have been the best fit, but Snowy and Molly-Anne have bonded so well!
We played many more games, including an epic pie-eating contest. After that, Molly and I decided to play gymnastics. It was so fun! Jocelyn finally mastered her splits and Molly-Anne is practicing her handstands. Squeeze tight, Molly-Anne, and push from your shoulders!
Then we made a stopmotion. It was so fun! It’s short, and not very good since Molly and I aren’t exactly movie-making pros, but we thought you would all like to see it anyways.
The Great Back Kickovers
(Click the link to watch the video. It opens in another tab, but you’re still at this website.)
Then we flipped our dolls up in the air to do cool flips, and it’s fun to pretend and imagine our gaurdian angels had fun with them, for they landed on their feet! ;)
Flipping dolls in the air and laughing over their funny landing poses, or oohing and ahhing if they land on their feet, is great exercise. After all that playing, we were pooped! We both fell back on the carpet, bursting into giggles. What fun we’ve had! I wonder what time it was when we finally stopped?
We both sat up, taking deep breaths and trying to stop the contagious giggles that made our tummies hurt – in a good way.
“That was so fun,” Molly was the first to say.
“I know!” I agreed. “How your doll won the pie eating contest -“
“- And then how your doll was so shocked she didn’t win, she cried out, ‘Well cut the cake ‘n call me puddin’!‘” Molly finished, and then she and I both shrieked with laughter again, reminiscing the funny, random exclamation my doll had done.
“And then – and then,” I tried to say through my hysterics, “your doll, with pie all over her face, said,”
“‘But cake and pudding don’t have anything to do with pie!'” We both finished together, and we erupted into more laughter.
“Oh my goodness,” we heard a voice say. We finally stopped chuckling and looked up. “What on earth is so funny, you two?” It was Josefina. We had been laughing so hard, we hadn’t heard her come in.
Molly and I just looked at each other, shared a secret smile, and burst into giggles all over again.
THE END
Love,
Jazzy
P.S. It’s Madison here! Sorry I posted this so late… I was working on my job. I’m so tired… but I’ve earned a lot. Maybe I should save my money and buy a new doll I’ve been wanting later this year. I was going to invite my BFFs to come to Florida for my birthday and give them money to spend at the AG store, but plans changed, and so now I don’t know quite what to do with all this money I’ve been saving… Anyways, Happy New Year! Have you seen Lea Clark’s page on AG yet? I checked it out around 1 AM this morning. Lea is so pretty! I might buy her… she is so unique! I’m also excited about Melody, the new BeForever doll coming out this summer! :D
I hope you enjoyed! That was one of my very favorite posts. I was really proud of my photography even though I had only been using a Canon EOS 60D and a 50mm lens for a couple of months! This post was inspired by good old memories I’ve shared with my best friends back in Texas. ❤️ We had many of our own magical moments with our dolls, so much so that we turned many of our games into stories we’ve written (or vice versa)!
And now I’d love to hear your magical moments!
Do you have any awesome games you’ve played or memories you’ve made to share? Comment below and tell the world one of your favorite times you’ve had with your dolls (it can be with friends). In the next Blast from the Past™, I’ll randomly pick one of those memories and put it up here for all to see! :D
Love,
What a cool idea, Madi! I remember that post! I loved it! :D
-Clara <3
Thank you so much, Clara! I’m so glad you liked it! :D
When I was little I used to play house with my friends and there dolls!
That sounds so fun! I think my friends and our dolls have done that, too! Thanks for commenting! ?
Eek! This is so cute! Their game is really sweet, and I love the “well cut the cake and call me pudding!” moment, that was hilarious! I laughed out loud. Probably my magical moment was getting Addy for Christmas in 2013. I spent all day playing. Or, taking Josefina on vacation with me this summer was fun too… and this summer when I got Vivian, I spent hours each day playing with her and sewing clothes for her. Those were definitely magical moments!
Also, yesterday when I won my first giveaway over at American Girl Fan!
Oh my goodness, I just saw! CONGRATULATIONS, IZZY! :D
Aw, thank you SO much, Izzy! And LOL. ? Aw, that sounds so fun and amazing!

Well, I’m so very glad you love my blog then, Izzy! ???
Yes do make more of these posts!
I remember having a lot of magical moments with my lil sis.
She and I once had a pirate/mermaid game with our dolls and by the time we were finished 3hrs had past!
-Lucky?
I definitely plan on it! ?
That sounds so fun! LOL, I can relate about three hours going by! XD
Aww, that was sweet! I honestly haven’t dolled with anyone lately. All my friends have moved on, and I’m still collecting. :-)
Thank you so much! That’s awesome you’re still collecting dolls. :)
What a great idea! I play AG with my brother! We have so much fun! I’m going to warn you that we do have death and romance when we play. I know mines probably going to be the weridest, most violent one. Oh and My brother plays for Saige and Chrissa. I play for the rest. Ok so let’s get started!
In the Davis’ home Saige was scolding Pepper(her dog). Pepper couldn’t take it anymore and started biting Saige. Of course Saige was screaming, and then Pepper ran out the front door. Pepper ran to a newly married couple a couple houses down. The couple loved him, and Pepper loved them. Saige started feeling bad for scolding him. The couple saw his collar and called the Davis’s house. Carolina picked up the phone and lied saying that was not there dog(cause she didn’t want a crazy dog). The couple came over anyway. Chrissa was so happy to see him she got down to the ground and spread her arms wide to give him a hug. He came over and started biting her. She had huge gashes. Her Dad came and drove Chrissa to the hospital and brought Pepper in a cage so the doctors could check him out.
Later Their mom and her other sisters came. Chrissa got sewed up. The doctors said that Pepper had rabies. Their Dad said to the nurse to get him out of here. The nurse went to the dumpster behind the hospital. She opened up the cage and Pepper came our biting her. She died. Pepper ran into the hospital into the room where the Davis’s were. Every one started screaming. The doctor came in with the antidote for Pepper. Carolina grabbed it and put it in Pepper and he was back to normal!
I don’t exactly remember if it was Carolina how put in in him or not.
I hope you enjoyed!
?-Kiki-?
Thanks so much, Kiki! I used to play dolls with my brother too, except he would use his LEGOs and I’d use Molly. Quite a size different there, but it was fun. XD No worries, our playtimes are action-packed too. ;)
Thanks so much for your comment! That story y’all played sounds so cool!
Apparently according to my brother it was Saige that went to the hospital. I remember Chrissa!??
?-Kiki-?
LOL! My brother corrects me on how I remember, things, too. (totally Even though I’m right 99.9 percent of the time). JK! ?
Oh, I love that post! I read it a little while back, but it’s always nice to see it again! :) One of my favorite memories was when I was with my BFF and we both have Elizabeth, so we renamed them for the time being and they became the Time Traveling Twins… my favorite of the TTT was when they visited the future – we got to remake the language! Sometimes we still use some of the terms and get everyone confused!
Thank you so much! And that sounds so cool! :D LOL, that’s so funny y’all still use some of the terms sometimes. XD My BFFs and I do stuff like that, too! ?
Wonderful post!
Thank you so much, Staff!
Super cute post! Way to re-feature it. :)
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you like it! :D
ADORABLE! My dolls love their dolls too, but sadly, a few years ago before I knew the value of mini dolls, I gave away mini Felicity, Rebecca, Samantha, and Cecile. But at least somebody else is enjoying them! I DO have mini Saige, Kirsten, and Kit, and I’m hoping to get mini Samantha for Samantha this year! Your dolls are so cute, I love Molly in her dress. :)
-Sam
Thank you so much! Aw. :( Ooh, I’ve always wanted mini Kirsten and Kit – they look so cute! And thank you so much again! ? Molly says thanks, too. ;)
Oh, I loved that post too! Keep it up, Madi!
~Mira
Thank you so very much, Mira! ?

~Lea
Thank you SO much, Lea! I’m super glad you liked it! ? Hehe ;D
Same here! I can’t believe I pick a winner tomorrow! :o
Aw, you’re so sweet, Lea! YOU’RE AWESOME. ?
I remember that post! I had really enjoyed it!
Hmmm… as for my memory… Oh! Here we go:
I find it interesting that I picked Julie as my first doll, but it really worked out that I did. I was pretty young, and I remember looking at a catalog with my parents deciding on a doll (probably for Christmas). It would make sense for me to have picked a doll that looked like me, right? Well, instead, I picked Julie! (Who is basically my exact opposite, as I have brown hair and hazel eyes.) I had liked how her clothes looked more modern than the rest of the dolls XD (even though now I really like the more historical dresses/dolls a lot). Then when I got Clara to be my look-a-like, I was grateful to have picked Julie, because I could have two dolls who were very different from each other!
~Gracie
Aw, thank you so much, Gracie! I’m so glad you liked it! ?
I loved reading about how you got Julie and Clara! That is so awesome! Thanks again for your comment, Gracie!
We played Cops And Robbers a lot when I was a Kid :) Though I split open my chin playing it :) had to go to the ER :(
My Dolls love playing School and pretending to be the teacher :D
M&M-
Same here! Well, I still am a kid. ? Aw, so sorry you split your chin open while playing it! I got hurt while playing Cops and Robbers, too. :P
Aw, that sounds so fun! :D Thanks for commenting, M&M!
You are to good at photography..what camera do you use?
Aw, thank you SO much, May! Currently, I use a Canon EOS 60D, but I’m moving to a Canon 5D Mark II soon.
You are to good at photography..what camera do you use?
How cool, Madi! Reminds me of a time I played dolls with one of MY friends….(I.E. the dolls overthrew the president and saved the world from the evil supervillains and then became evil themselves except they were mermaids and the ORIGINAL villain had to save them, but she still had laser vision and….well, you get it! ;)
Thanks so much, Natalie! (LOLOL! Sounds fun! XD)
Awww, such a cute post!!! I can totally relate to this story, my best friend and I would (and still) play with our dolls making up the most funny doll stories ever!!! Once we were playing with some Barbies and they were a family of 4, and the mom was an Olympic diver (who unfortunately, was not a very good swimmer at all) with orange hair XD We would just make the silliest stories ever!!!
Thank you so much, Maddie! LOL, crazy doll stories are so fun to make! XD ?
