When I looked out the window this morning, all I could see was…white! There were white sky, white clouds, white ground, white roof, white everything! At first, I thought it was snow. But it was really frozen sleet on the ground that felt like snow, and just underneath it was hard, packed, ice! Even though it was below freezing, I dressed up as bundles as I could, grabbed Emilie, her handmade ice-skates, and the iPad mini, and set out for some photo’s!

IMG_3417It was soooo cold, icy, and beautiful when I stepped outside.

IMG_3419I found some great ice for Emilie to go skating on.

IMG_3420*swissssssh, scraaaape, swisssssh!*

*excuse my foot at the bottom of the picture. XD*

IMG_3425Skating some more…

IMG_3430HA! Just look at me. I can barely move in that terrible neck-choking coat! XD

IMG_3434My sins were black, Jesus’s blood shed for me was red, and now I’m cleansed…as white as snow!

IMG_3435Look at Fort M&R! INCHES of ice with sleet on top! WOW!!!!

And an awesome saying I made in the summer, with a mixture of soap, mud, and water!

IMG_3436Emilie sure liked it! She says it makes a good seat….but sure makes your bum cold!

IMG_3437Aw…<3

IMG_3438A close-up of the icey-snowy/sleetish thing-a-ma-bob.(yes, I am aware that the last four mixture of letters where not real words) if it’s not snow, it’s more like flake-y ice. How queer!

IMG_3426Some more lovely photos of Miss Emilie in the snow….er….icey-sleetish sheet on the ground. (Ahhhhhh! My feet or hands got in all of them! I’m too lazy to cut them out….haha)IMG_3427

IMG_3428

IMG_3431Emilie just loved making snow dollies on the slide! And to think this was the same very thing she slid down on in the summer! How much it changed….

IMG_3432The finished result…I don’t know if you can see the snow dollie or not, the snow/ice makes it hard to tell for the camera.

IMG_3433The other half of my backyard. So white and silent! (and no, those are not HUGE MOUNDS of ice, they are huge mounds of dirt dumped on our property from construction next door COVERED in ice.)

Well, then my finger was getting numb from having to be bare to click the camera button on the iPad mini and Emilie was getting terribly cold in that short-sleeved shirt and barely-over-her-knees-pants. So we went inside for some warm, peppermint hot cocoa.

Is it snowing, hailing, raining or sleeting where you are? Is it cooooold? Do you ever take your dolls out in the snow?

~Love,

~Madison and Emilie~
***NOTE: TAKE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN BRINGING YOUR DOLL OUT IN THE SNOW. HER CLOTHES MIGHT GET WET, AND SNOW MIGHT GET IN HER EYES IF SHE FALLS. NOT GOOD. I ONLY PUT ICE ON EMILIE’S HAIR FOR A QUICK, QUICK PRETTY PHOTO THEN BRUSHED IT RIGHT OFF. MAKE SURE A PARENT IS OK WITH YOU BRINGING YOUR DOLL OUTSIDE BEFORE YOU TAKE HER OUT!***
