(If you haven’t already please read Part 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 before you read this post so it makes sense! :) The era is set in the early 1900’s but past the Victorian era.)

….Life was good, living with Mrs. Bunch. We got pampered and lived splendidly.

IMG_5128One day, we were walking beside the pond. Well, I was riding Acorn. Mrs. Bunch said ladies rode side saddle, but I preferred to ride the easier way.

IMG_5129Then, I saw two bars missing in the fence ahead. I sped Acorn up ahead of the others. Maybe we could fit through the fence and go to the pond!

So I made Acorn gallop as fast as she could. I wanted to get through the fence and let Acorn drink at the pond. It would be so relaxing, just hanging out at the pond!

“Emmi! Stop!” I heard Naomi cry behind me. I rolled my eyes. I told her she could ride Acorn later.

IMG_5132“C’mon,  Acorn, run!” I told my (well, Mrs. Bunch’s) beloved horse.

Oh no! There was a bar running longitude across the other bars. Could Acorn jump over it, so we could go through the pond? Sure she could! “Giddyap, Acorn!”

IMG_5134Was it a bird? Was it a plane? Nope, it was just us. xP

She leaped. She soared.

IMG_5135She landed.

IMG_5136“We did it, Acorn! We did it! We made it to the pond!” I cried. Now we had to go down this grassy slope, so I made Acorn go slow.

IMG_5138All of the sudden I heard, “EMMI! Stop!” This time it was Mrs. Bunch. I turned Acorn around (not easy to do) to face them at the other side of the fence.

IMG_5139“What?” I asked.

“You can’t be here!” Naomi blurted. “We aren’t allowed on this property, Emmi. We don’t have permission to be here.” Mrs. Bunch calmly explained. I felt my cheeks warm with embarrassment. So that was what Naomi was yelling about.

IMG_5142I was about to go back, when something I saw caught my eye. Was that….? No, it couldn’t be? I leaned in closer, fighting to stay on Acorn. Did that woman look familiar or what? Did I recognize those blue eyes somewhere? I had to have seen here before somewhere… “Emmi, hurry up! You could get in trouble if someone catches you!” Naomi told me. I sighed, and went back through the fence.
