We are nearing the end of this Mines of Malaysia series! I am searching my room everywhere today for where I misplaced the pink gem that inspired me to make this photo story series THAT MUST BE IN THE NEXT MINES OF MALAYSIA POST…. Pray that I find it! :(
*NOW TOLD IN THE POV OF EMELIE, ONCE AGAIN*
….the snake disappeared in a cloud of smoke, and then, appeared Jasmine and another young woman I guessed to be that witch Cécile told me about.
I was so scared and shaken up. All I did was cry for a moment in Cécile’s shoulders. I could have died!
“Emelie! It’s ok!” Jasmine finally spoke up. I got my wits about myself and thought to myself – I am here to save Jasmine. I lunged at the witch woman but the nanosecond I was a hundredth of a millimeter away from touching her she disappeared in a cloud of purplish/greenish dramatic smoke. Jasmine rolled her eyes. “There’s my dramatic mother for you!” She grinned. I almost passed out, I was on the ground anyways. “What?” I asked. “What did you say?”
With more smoke the witch appeared behind me and smirked. I could tell she was enjoying creeping me out with her magic. “I’ll explain,” she offered sweetly, and then we ALL disappeared. Probably with smoke.
We re-appeared in another grassy part of the backyard.
“Explain?” I urged impatiently.
So out it came. The whole story, they called it. How Jasmine got “adopted” by Demetria, her mother, about the rare pink gem, and their mission to find it to prove to Demetria’s father she was something special. Demetria wanted to be loved by her father again and she would stop at nothing to obtain that love.
“Where will Jasmine live, now that she’s adopted by you?” Cécile asked.
“I belong here, with you girls. Demetria will always be my mother – sort of – we haven’t got the adoption legal papers and everything worked out yet. But we need your help….” she trailed off.
Jasmine looked at her mother. They both nodded.
“Would you like to help us in our search for the pink gem?”
“Um….is it dangerous?” I asked.
“You’ll be fine though, Emelie, if you come along. We have God on our side, and, my mother’s magic. Whaddya say?” Jasmine begged.
“Welllll….” Cécile trailed off.
“Ummmm…” we looked at each other. We had help Jasmine and her adoptive mom.
“THANK YOU!!!” Jasmine yelled and tackled me with a hug. I was laughing. It felt good to help somebody. Especially a friend.
“OK! That’s enough on the hugs — ooof!” Cécile was not a big hugger.
“I sincerely thank you, Emelie and Cécile, for choosing to help me.”
“What are we waiting for? We have a pink gem to find!” Jasmine shouted.
*note from Madison – ignore the box in the corner. -__-*
“Mom, do your magic. Transport us to the mines!”
“Okay. But first Jasmine darling, sit down.”
Cécile and I were curious and to tell you the truth I was a little afraid.
“Well?” Jasmine asked impatiently.
“Everyone, close your eyes, and focus on my words.”
She held on to the pouch and breathed slowly for a moment. “Transporting to a place so deep in my history is always a little bit hard….”
She closed her eyes and we followed her example.
I heard her clap her hands to times then speak these words:
“Let us go
To my home
by the mines
to find
not a dime
but deep within
the rare pink gem.”
We disappeared. In a cloud of smoke.
TO BE CONTINUED
P.S. Madison’s note – sorry this didn’t come sooner. I seriously thought I posted it last night. I’m under some stress with our new Fall schedule, homework for a special History class, and everything. I threw up last night, don’t know if it was because of stress or what. But I feel better. Like I said, I lost the pink gem and have beens searching everywhere for it. My sister gave it to me before she went off to a Bible College. It isn’t real but she thought I would like it, and, that pink gem thingy is what this Mines of Malaysia series is based around! If I can’t find it, Mines of Malaysia is ruined. I thought of a twist where there would be no pink gem in the first place, but tat wouldn’t be any fun. My really sweet mom and brother offered to buy me a new one. They are so sweet. Until I either find the pink gem or get a new one, Part 10 is put on hold for now. Sorry!! :(
UGHH! You poor thing.
I love part 9. It is so cool.
I hope you find it! :(
I love the new header BTW :D
