Hang on to Hope
Season 1, Part 6
And guest-starring, my friend Faith’s Saige doll as Melody!
Where we last left off, we got interrupted by a door slamming downstairs and Lexi’s voice calling, “Mom! Dad! I’m home!”
Amy jumped up. “I’ll be right there, Lexi! You can go ahead and get your snack out of the fridge!” She called. “See you later, Issa.”
“See you later!”
The next thing I knew, Lexi was standing at the edge of my room. “Knock knock? Can I come in?” She asked. She looked a little shy. She also carried a bulging bag in her hand.
“Um, of course.”
“I, um, wanted to apologize. I was really mean last night, and I shouldn’t have been that way. I just felt jealous that you got a new room – I really wanted this one. This used to be my sister’s room. She went to college a few weeks ago before you came here. Her name was Emma, and I really miss her. We were best friends.” Lexi took a breath after finishing.
“Wow… I didn’t know. I’m sorry Emma left.” I didn’t quite know what to say. But soon, I had the words: “I know what it’s like to lose your family.” Lexi nodded.
“I have to apologize, too – I was rude and mean since I came here, and, I shouldn’t have been like that either.” I told her.
With that, we forgave each other and we HUGGED! ^_^
“Oh! I almost forgot! Today at Bible Club Girls, we met at Sarah’s house, and she was giving away all her dress-up clothes she grew out of. She’s going through, like, a major growth spurt. Anyways, I picked one I thought you’d maybe like…” Lexi rested her hand on the bag. It was then I noticed colorful frills spilling out of it.
“I know I will. Thank you so much.”
Lexi slowly pulled the dress out of the bag.
I gawked at it. It was three ginormous rows of frilly layers, each with gorgeous, bright patterns of fabric.
I reached out to touch it. “This is beautiful. Thanks so much!”
She handed me the dress, and then said, “Is it OK if I invite my friend Melody over? Our favorite game to play is fashion show. It sounds a little young, but it’s really fun. Can you play with us?”
That was the easiest question to answer all day!
INTRODUCING, THE SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS GIRLS!!!
Melody’s gorgeous Rainfall Dress!
Lexi’s gorgeous Butterfly Garden dress!
Yeah. That’s right. You just witnessed the true power of our horrible editing skills.
Be amazed.
So, life looked pretty rosy. I didn’t get kicked out, and I was actually making some friends at school.
But at the next Bible Club Girls meeting I went to, things went downhill faster than a speeding bullet.
TO BE CONTINUED
I want to say a huge thank you to my friend, Faith, for letting me feature her doll as Melody! Nope, that isn’t my Saige (Jasmine) you see there! Faith is my friend who comes over a lot. Saige is her AG doll.
And now, here are some bonus pictures of Ellie – I put the dress (made out of a girl’s skirt) on her first, and she looked like a princess!
Thanks for reading!
Stay tuned for Part 7!
Have I ever said that I LOVE your photostory series? I can’t wait to see where HOTH goes!
Also, Ellie looks AMAZING in that princess dress! Is there any chance that you could show us how you did her hairstyle? I’m never sure what to do on my Ivy, but that hairstyle looks gorgeous! I’d love to learn how to do it.

Thanks so much Loren!! I’m so, so happy you like this so much! :D
Ellie says thank you! :-) Hey, that’s a great idea. I think I will do that! It’s really easy, just put a high ponytail in her hair and bobbypin the remaining pieces upwards. I’ll do a tutorial on it soon! :D
OHH! I REALLY WANT MORE!!! PLEASE@!!! SOOOO GOOD! I AM TYPING SO FAST!!!!
Hehe! Thanks, Liz! :D :D The next part will hopefully be up today, if not probably tomorrow! :)
This is fantastic, Madison!! I’m really looking forward to the next part. ;-)

Thanks so much! I’m going to be working on the next part today, and hopefully it will get posted either today or tomorrow! ^_^
I love the dresses, and I have one question. I am trying to post a video on my blog and it wont let me. I might have to make a Youtube account to do it but I trying to avoid doing that because my parents don’t like Youtube.
Thanks,
Halo
Thanks! Aw…I’m sorry you’re having technical difficulties. Try tinypic – it will give your viewers a link to the video. It works for me if I don’t want to upload a video to YouTube (like if it’s a random, non-AG related video).
I hope you can get your video situation worked out! Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help. :-)
BTW UTTERLY AWESOME MOVED!!!! CLICK MY NAME TO GO TO THE NEW ADMIN!!!
OK! Thanks for letting me know!
i love this post mads!!
Thanks so much, Allie! <3
Those dresses are so pretty!
They were all skirts of mine — my favorite quick doll dress hack!
